Child Care & Children's Programs

We have safe and clean children’s areas with trained volunteers who will love your children and take excellent care of them. Below is a summary of each of our children’s programs, as well as our pick-up and drop-off procedures so you can know what to expect.

Infant (Birth – 2 years)

We know that leaving your new baby for the first time can be overwhelming. The volunteers in our infant classrooms have been chosen for this age group because of their love for babies and their training to care for all of the needs of your infant. We hope that the following information will help you and your baby have a great experience on Sunday morning.

  • Please bring diapers, bottles, pacifiers, and any special blankets that will soothe your baby through the morning.
  • Label all items that belong to your baby.

Please read our Infant / Preschool Pick-up & Drop-off Procedures at the bottom of this page!

Preschool (3 years – 5 years)

This is a fun and active stage in your children’s lives. We are excited to care for them and look forward to teaching them that God loves them, God made them, and Jesus wants to be their friend forever!

Our preschool class is currently using a curriculum called Rainbow, which is a three year series taking children chronologically through the Bible. All activities are age-appropriate with plenty of flexibility.

Please read the information below to help us make sure your child’s Sunday is GREAT!

  • Your child will enjoy Bible stories, music and a coloring sheet (or other craft).
  • We provide toys, activities, and snacks in the classrooms. We usually serve Goldfish or something similar in comparison.
  • If your children have any allergies or special dietary needs and cannot eat what we have provided, please inform the teachers and bring appropriate snacks for them.

Please read our Infant / Preschool Pick-up & Drop-off Procedures at the bottom of this page!

Kids4Christ (Kindergarten – 6th grade)

Kindergarten through sixth graders will have a great time at First Baptist Church!

  • During our time together we pray, laugh and worship.
  • There is a Bible lesson with interactive short videos that connect the Bible story with present day situations.
  • We also play a game to help encourage peer interaction and encouragement.

What to expect:

  • You will take your child(ren) directly to the ‘Quad’ before the church service starts.
  • You do not need to check your child in at our Children's Check-In desk; though they will happily assist you in finding the correct room for your child.
  • After the service they will be released when you pick them up.

Infant / Preschool Pick-up & Drop-off Procedures

What to expect when you drop of your child(ren):

  • You will check-in your infant through preschool aged child at the Children’s Check-In counter (located in the 'Quad').
  • Your child will get a name tag and you will receive a ‘children’s coupon.’
  • The ‘children’s coupon’ is used for picking up your child after the service.
  • Your child will either be handed over the counter or walk around to enter the age appropriate room for them.
  • We ask that you please take your child to the restroom before dropping them off in the Preschool class.
  • After the service, please pick your child up from the Children's Check-In counter. Be sure to bring your ‘children’s coupon’!
  • For security reasons, we cannot release your child without seeing your ‘children’s coupon’ tag.
